NorthDew Farms
Growing what we eat and eating what we grow is a mantra we key into as a truly Nigerian company toward ensuring food security for millions of Nigerians.
NorthDew Farms
Food production on a massive scale is the only antidote to bridging the poverty gap and stopping the downward spiral of millions of Nigerians into abject poverty. At NorthDew Investments Limited, we have identified the unique opportunities in the agricultural industry prior to the upsurge in the interest being shown by recent governments in Nigeria. With an estimated population of about 200 million people living in Nigeria, it is only logical for a company like ours to frontally tackle Nigeria’s dependence on food imports which is about half of what is being consumed daily in the country.
NorthDew Investments Limited Farms is adopting a multi-faceted approach in our quest towards contributing substantially towards reducing food deficit in our country. These approaches include the establishment of large scale mechanized farming, the use of technology in the planting, harvesting and storage processes of staples such as Rice, Beans, Yams, Cassava, Soya beans, to name just a few.
To reduce damage caused to farm produce and animals in the farm, we intend to explore recent opportunities offered through the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and how this could be developed in the area of pest control and quarantine of infected animals to reduce losses and stem the spread of diseases.
A feed processing mill is also in the works where we plan to produce and process feeds for different animals that will be raised across our farms such as cattle, poultry and fish. Our long term plan is to produce at a commercial scale once we scale up our capacity and this means we can sell and distributes our feeds to other farms
